VietSocQUB proudly hosted the 2025 Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day at Queen’s University Belfast (QUB) — a cultural celebration to honor the legendary founders of Vietnam.
Recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, the Worship of the Hung Kings reflects the deep respect of Vietnamese people toward our ancestors.
This event brought together QUB students from all backgrounds to share in Vietnamese traditions, festive activities and heartfelt community spirit.

Very happy to receive the School Postgraduate Research Committee (SPRC) Paper Award. The award is presented by the SPRC to acknowledge the contributions of research students to the high-impact research output within the School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EEECS) at Queen’s University Belfast. Engaged in Connected Futures Festival, where the tech demos on our group’s core topic Cell Free Massive MIMO was showcased.
Participated in Capture The Flag, hosted by the QUB Centre for Secure Information Technologies (CSIT) and the Cyber-AI NVIDIA Project. Gained hands-on experience in Linux operations and ethical hacking, applying cybersecurity techniques to identify hidden flags. (Certificate)
Completed the Higher Education Export Control Association course, gaining knowledge of UK export control regulations and compliance in research and higher education. (Certificate)
Successfully presented for the Vietnamese Student Society (VietSoc), leading to its first-ever ratification. This milestone ensures official QUB Student Union support for VietSoc’s activities.
I participated in the QUB Datathon, hosted in partnership with Alteryx SparkED and sponsored by Kainos, at Queen’s Business School. During the event, I received training in Alteryx, learning how to leverage data analytics tools for handling Big Data. Working as part of a team, we analyzed datasets on General Deprivation in Northern Ireland. We presented Impact of Hunger and Education on NI Deprivation in the region. (Certificate)
Attended 2024 IEEE WCNC Conference with my supervisors and part of our research team.
Completed the Fundamentals of Deep Learning training course by NVIDIA. (Certificate)
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to my former supervisors, Prof. Sungrae Cho, Asst. Prof. Nhu-Ngoc Dao and UCLab, for their unwavering support and guidance.
With their mentorship, I earned my Master of Engineering, publishing three Q1 SCIE and one Q2 SCIE journal papers, along with several conference articles. Thanks to their references, I embarked on my PhD journey at Queen’s University Belfast, U.K..
